It has managed to concentrate a&nbsp;number of scientific disciplines in a&nbsp;small space and create ideal conditions for their cooperation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div id=\"0\" class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-66db18c4 alignfull uagb-is-root-container\"><div class=\"uagb-container-inner-blocks-wrap\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do we influence the city and the region?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"q-list\">\n<li>For over 30 years we have been passing on our knowledge to students from all over the Czech Republic and abroad. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A large part of <a href=\"#1\">our more than 6,000 graduates<\/a> remain career loyal to the Pilsen region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#3\">We love science<\/a> and do our best to popularize it in a&nbsp;region whose history and future are inextricably linked to technology and industry. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We offer excellent conditions for the scientific career of our students and graduates from other universities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where are we heading?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"q-list\">\n<li>We are a&nbsp;forward-looking faculty. A&nbsp;quality science education has opened up a&nbsp;unique opportunity for them to pursue a&nbsp;full career in many fields in companies and major institutions. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-740b6bcc\">\n<p class=\"text-more\">Studying at our faculty brings with it not only the necessary knowledge linked with the latest knowledge from practice, but also high professional flexibility and foreign experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-2e105540\">\n<p>Our graduates are thus able to easily enter the labour market throughout their active lives. Thanks to their excellent theoretical background and natural desire for education, &#8220;FAS students&#8221; are among the most capable and innovative professionals and managers. The results of our scientists&#8217; work help a&nbsp;number of industries, healthcare, and components of the integrated rescue system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are very successful in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Research-Topics\/Bio-Engineering-technologies-and-models\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">field of technologies and modelling for biomedicine<\/a>, some of our teams specialise in <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Teams\/Medical-informatics\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">biomedical data processing<\/a>, neuroinformatics and medical information systems or <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Teams\/Synthetic-biology\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">synthetic biology<\/a>. We are happy to help patients and <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Teams\/Clinical-Data-Science\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support doctors<\/a> during diagnosis, transplantation, treatment and subsequent rehabilitation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Another of our domains is artificial intelligence and robotics. You encounter the results of our work every day. We focus on <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Teams\/Speech-and-language-technology\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">speech and language technologies<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Teams\/Computer-Vision-Laboratory\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">computer vision<\/a>, automatic subtitling, <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Teams\/ACROSS\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">control of mechatronic systems<\/a> and robots, and <a href=\"https:\/\/intenzitadopravy.plzen.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transport modeling, including in Pilsen itself<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thanks to the work of material properties teams, we can boast a&nbsp;number of achievements in the field of nanostructured thin-film materials created by plasma technologies, as well as in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ntis.zcu.cz\/cs\/Research\/Research-Topics\/Mechanical-systems-modelling\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">modelling of smart composites<\/a>, dynamically stressed structures and fluid flow. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our teams of mathematicians also come up with solutions to real-world problems.
